Tenants

Our Tenants Insurance is designed to provide you with the cover you need as a tenant. The policy is comprehensive enough to meet most tenants’ needs:

• Optional accidental damage 
• Optional personal possessions insurance for property taken outside of the home
• New for old cover (not clothing or linen)
• Employers liability cover
• Personal and occupiers liability cover
• Contents covered whilst moving home if professional removers are employed
• Alternative accomodation paid, up to 20% of your contents sum insured if your home becomes uninhabitable following an insured occurrence.

Landlords

Landlords cannot afford to ignore the risks or responsibilities they have towards their tenants. We can provide comprehensive cover to protect your interests as a landlord:

• Buildings and/or contents cover
• Protection against damage by a tenant
• Full contents cover for furnished property
• Limited contents cover for unfurnished property
• Full cover for property unoccupied between lets (subject to conditions)
• Public and employers liability

Also, under a separate policy:

• Rent and legal expenses cover to obtain possession of property
• Payment of monthly rent for a maximum of twelve months following non-payment by the tenant
• 100% of the rent paid until full and vacant possession is obtained
• 75% of the rent paid for up to 2 months once full and vacant possession is obtained until property has been re-let
• Subject to policy excess of one months rent, limits, terms and conditions

 

A separate Legal Protection Insurance is also available covering legal expenses of up to £50,000 per annum for disputes over unpaid rent and damage to property.

Your home is likely to be your biggest asset, so it makes sense to protect it:
